FAQ: Everything You Need to Know About Your Nomad Business Compression 17" Backpack
How does the vacuum compression system actually work?
The bag features an airtight compartment with a special valve. Using the free electric pump, you can remove the air trapped between the fibers of your clothes, reducing their volume by 30% to 60% depending on use. This allows you to maximize interior space without ever increasing the exterior dimensions of your luggage.
Is the bag really accepted by all airlines?
Yes. Its height of 46 cm is well below the 55 cm standard. It is one of the "safest" bags to avoid any dispute at the gate, as it easily fits through all cabin size sizers.
Will the compression wrinkle my clothes?
The system removes only the air and does not haphazardly compress the fabrics. By carefully folding your clothes before creating the vacuum, you stabilize their position. With no air to circulate, friction is limited and your belongings stay perfectly in place, protected and ready to wear upon arrival.
Does the combination lock effectively protect my equipment?
Yes, the built-in lock system secures the sliders of the main zipper. This is an essential security feature during train travel or in transit areas to prevent unauthorized third parties from quickly opening it.
Why is the TSA lock essential?
The integrated TSA lock allows you to secure your zippers with a personal code while enabling customs authorities (especially in the United States) to inspect your bag with a special key without breaking the lock. It guarantees a stress-free trip and protected belongings.
What is the actual carrying capacity of this bag?
This model transforms the volume of a suitcase into a backpack. Thanks to the 10 cm expansion and compression, you can carry: 3 pairs of trousers, 2 jackets, 7 shirts, 8 sets of underwear, a pair of shoes, a toiletry bag, your A4 documents and a 17" laptop.
What are all the inside pockets for?
Everything has its place. The slip pocket holds your notebooks, the zippered pocket keeps your valuables safe, and the interior key holder means you won't have to empty your entire bag to find your office or house keys when you get home.
Is the 17" compartment well protected for frequent travel?
Absolutely. It features a reinforced padded compartment that isolates your computer from the rest of the load. Even when the bag is fully compressed, your PC remains protected from external pressure.
How to maximize compression effortlessly?
For an instant result, MoovNext is giving you 🎁 a Travel Electric Pump with every bag purchased. Ultra-compact, it fits in a pocket and allows you to empty the air from the compartment in a few seconds, ensuring a total vacuum to carry twice as many personal belongings.
How to avoid exceeding the allowed carry-on weight?
Once filled, this bag usually weighs between8 and 9 kg. For peace of mind when traveling, we recommend using our NomadTech 50kg Digital Scale to check the weight of your luggage before departure.
How to optimize the space inside even further?
For very long trips, complete your purchase with our 9L or 14L Compression Packing Cubes. They fit perfectly into the main compartment for surgical organization and even more radical space savings.
