FAQ: Everything You Need to Know About Your Nomad Élégance 16" Bag
How does the vacuum compression system actually work?
It’s magical and very simple. The bag features an airtight compartment with a special valve. Using the free electric pump, you remove the air from your clothes (sweaters, t-shirts, jackets). You reduce their volume by 50%, allowing you to carry twice as many belongings in a very compact format.
What is the difference between the standard and expanded volume?
The Nomad Elegance adapts to your needs. For your days at school or work, it stays slim (15 cm). For your travels, you open the expansion gusset (+5 cm). By combining this expansion with vacuum compression, you get a 40L volume, perfect for leaving for 4 to 5 days without an additional suitcase.
Does compression damage delicate fabrics?
No, because the vacuum seal stabilizes the clothes. Unlike in a regular bag where clothes get crushed and rub against each other, here they are held in place. By folding them properly before creating the vacuum seal, you limit wrinkling and your clothes stay clean and dry.
How can I secure my valuables?
This model is equipped with a TSA lock and combination locking that secures the main compartment zippers. Additionally, a hidden anti-theft pocket in the back panel allows you to keep your passport and phone safe, directly against you, while traveling.
Can you charge your phone using the USB port?
The bag has an external USB port. You plug your own power bank inside, and you can connect your phone on the outside. Ideal for continuing to use your GPS or take photos without running out of battery.
What is the actual carrying capacity of this bag?
This model is a real magic trick for your organization. Thanks to vacuum compression, it transforms the volume of a carry-on suitcase into a sleek backpack format. For a 4 to 5-day getaway, you can carry: 2 jeans or pants, 1 light jacket, 5 tops or blouses, 1 dress, 6 sets of underwear, a pair of shoes, your full toiletry bag, and a laptop up to 16 inches
Can beauty products really be separated from the rest of your belongings?
Absolutely. The bag includes a separate waterproof pocket, specially designed for your liquids or makeup bag. In the event of a small leak, your clothes and laptop will remain perfectly protected. It's also the ideal place to keep a damp swimsuit separate after one last swim before departure.
Is the laptop compartment easy to access during security checks?
Yes, we know this is a crucial point. The laptop compartment is separate and padded. You can take out your PC or tablet in one motion without having to open the main compartment or unpack your clothes. This saves time and provides peace of mind at airport security.
How to maximize compression effortlessly?
To save as much space as possible, MoovNext is giving you a Travel Electric Pump. Rechargeable via USB-C, it deflates your bag in no time. It's the accessory that makes all the difference when switching from a city bag to a real travel bag.
How to optimize the space inside even further?
For trips longer than 10 days, we recommend adding our extra 9L Compression Packing Cubes. By combining the bag's built-in compression with these additional cubes, you turn your Nomad Horizon into a true mobile wardrobe capable of holding all your essentials without having to switch to a larger size.
How can I be sure not to exceed the allowed weight?
Even compact, a well-packed bag can weigh a lot. To travel with peace of mind, we recommend using our High-Precision Digital Scale to check the weight of your luggage in a few seconds before leaving.
